9 years later, doctors still repairing Taliban's damage to my body: Malala
Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, who was shot in the head by a Pakistani Taliban gunman in 2012, said in a blog, "Nine years later, doctors are still repairing...Taliban's damage to my body." Yousafzai wrote that she was undergoing her sixth surgery two weeks ago, when US troops withdrew from Afghanistan and Taliban captured its first major city, Kunduz.
