90% of family's stake in Zee pledged, reveals Subhash Chandra's son

Essel Group Chairman Subhash Chandra's son Punit Goenka, the MD and CEO of Zee Entertainment, revealed on Saturday that his family's stake in the company stands at 22%, over 90% of which is pledged. Zee's promoter shareholding as of June was 35.8%, of which 64% had been pledged. Total promoter group debt stands at ₹7,000 crore, Goenka added.
