900 snakes escape after flood destroys breeding farm in China

Around 900 snakes, including venomous cobras, escaped from a breeding farm in a Chinese village after devastating floods hit the region, according to local media reports. A village official said a large proportion of the escaped snakes were non-venomous water snakes. One villager was reportedly bitten by a snake and is receiving emergency treatment at a hospital.
