900 tourists fined ₹4.28 lakh in Lonavala, other areas over COVID-19 norms this weekend

Nearly 900 tourists were fined for a total of ₹4,28,300 visiting Lonavala, Mulshi, Khadakwasla dam and Sinhagad Fort areas on weekend. According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Lonavala division), ₹1.27 lakh was collected in fine on Saturday from 249 people including 197 without the mask. Thirty-four persons were fined for roaming around unnecessarily. On Sunday, ₹1.51 lakh was collected.
