92 Chhattisgarh villages hoist Tricolour for 1st time since independence

As many as 92 villages in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region hoisted the Tricolour for the first time since independence on the 80th Independence Day on August 15. The villages include 33 in Bijapur, 50 in Sukma and nine in Narayanpur, areas once considered Maoist strongholds. The flag-hoisting follows the end of armed Maoist insurgency, marking a significant step towards restoring normalcy.
