97% of mobile phones used in country are made in India: MoS IT

Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Wednesday said over 97% of mobile phones used in India are made in the country itself. "In 2014, over 92% of mobile phones used in India were imported...Today we export electronic devices worth $12 billion," Chandrasekhar added. His remark came while speaking at CyFY2022, organised by Observer Research Foundation (ORF).
