Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily on Wednesday clarified that Aadhar card will no longer be a must for giving subsidises unless cleared by the Supreme Court(SC). Aadhaar was earlier made mandatory for receiving subsidised cooking gas(LPG) in 19 districts. The SC in an interim order had said that the Aadhaar number cannot be not made mandatory to avail any government services.
