A Manimekhalai appointed as 1st woman MD & CEO of Union Bank of India

The Centre has appointed A Manimekhalai as the MD and CEO of Union Bank of India for a period of three years with effect from the date of assumption of office. Notably, Manimekhalai will be the first woman to hold these positions at the bank. She will replace Rajkiran Rai G, who held these positions since 2017.
