A patch in Amazon rainforest may be home to over 40,000 insect species: Report

A report in Nature said a patch of Amazon rainforest may have more than 40,000 insect species. To study them, scientists have set up three sets of traps across hundreds of sites at different heights, from forest floor to 30 metres above it. “Coming up with names for all new species will be a lot of work,” a scientist said.
