A prisoner can be called as a witness: Advocate Deepak Somani

Under Section 3 of the Prisoners (Attendance in Courts) Act, 1955, a criminal or civil court may call any prisoner in any case if the prisoner is a witness in that case. The court may issue a production warrant directing the jail superintendent to make the prisoner appear before the court on a particular date, said Advocate Deepak Somani.
