A senior journalist once made a rude comment on my skin tone & accent: Deepika

Deepika Padukone, in a conversation with India Today, spoke about facing criticism after her debut film 'Om Shanti Om'. "There were comments like models cannot act. Or the fact that I came from South India and...had an accent," she stated. "A very senior journalist [made] a rude comment on my...dusky skin tone, my accent and my acting capabilities," Deepika added.
