A strong India would act as counterbalance to China: US report

Outlining the strategic framework for the Indo-Pacific region, a declassified US document has said, "A strong India...would act as a counterbalance to China." India currently maintains the capacity to counter border provocations by China, it added. The policy framework further said that its objective is to accelerate India's rise to serve as a net provider of security.
