A tribute to the country by scientists from Tamil Nadu

Botanists from Annamalai University and Government Siddha Medical College in Tamil Nadu have discovered a new coastal herb, Leucas droupadiae, on the dunes of Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu. Named after President Droupadi Murmu, this 15-cm plant features unique unbranched stems and distinctive golden-yellow seeds spotted with brown.
