Aadhaar app now allows free email updates for 6 months

The UIDAI has introduced a free email update facility through the Aadhaar mobile app, removing the need to visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Available from July 1, the service will remain free for six months. More than 2.5 lakh Aadhaar holders updated their email addresses through the app within two days of the launch.
