Aadhaar helpline no. auto-saved on phones, UIDAI calls it invalid

After reports claimed that an Aadhaar helpline number was auto-stored on Android phones, Aadhaar's governing body UIDAI said the number was "invalid" and it did not ask any manufacturer or telecom provider to add it. Users shared some screenshots showing the number 1800-300-1947 auto-saved in Android phones under UIDAI's name, without their consent. UIDAI clarified their helpline number is 1947.
