AB de Villiers retires while being number 2 in ODI rankings

South African cricketer AB de Villiers announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket while holding the number two spot in the ICC ODI rankings for batsmen. The 34-year-old had scored 773 runs in 19 ODIs at an average of 59.46 last year. Further, De Villiers won the ICC ODI Player of the Year for a record three times.
