Abbott Labs faces criminal probe in US over baby formula

Abbott Laboratories' Michigan plant is facing a criminal investigation by US Justice Department (DOJ) over its baby formula. "The DOJ has informed us of its investigation," a company spokesman told Reuters. The company had recalled its baby formula products from US markets and temporarily shut the Michigan plant in 2022 due to complaints of bacterial infections in infants.
