Abhinandan Varthaman who shot down Pakistan's F-16 fighter jet becomes commercial pilot

Former Indian Air Force Group Captain and Vir Chakra awardee Abhinandan Varthaman has joined a private airline. He is expected to undergo the training and regulatory procedures required before operating commercial aircraft. He had shot down Pakistan's US-made F-16 fighter jet in an aerial combat in 2019 after Pulwama terror attack on CRPF convoy.
