Abhishek Banerjee's plea to go abroad for treatment declined by High Court

The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday refused an urgent hearing on Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee's plea seeking permission to travel abroad for medical treatment. The judge made an oral observation that there are treatment facilities within the country. Abhishek had sought relaxation of a condition placed in a case wherein he cannot leave the country without the court's approval.
