India opener Abhishek Sharma has become the fastest batter to score 2,000 runs in T20I cricket in terms of balls faced, achieving the feat during the third T20I against West Indies on Sunday. The 26-year-old reached the milestone in 1,024 balls, breaking Suryakumar Yadav’s record of 1,164 balls. Australia’s Aaron Finch is third on the list, having taken 1,283 balls.
