About 50 Iranian MPs test positive for COVID-19: Senior MP

Iranian MP Alireza Salimi on Saturday said about 50 MPs out of the 290-seat Iranian parliament tested positive for COVID-19. Salimi added this week’s parliamentary session would take place according to health regulations. An outbreak among MPs led to parliament being suspended for two weeks last April. Iran has reported more than 6.5 million infections since pandemic began.
