Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday said that the government is looking to make the air-conditioning of driver cabins in buses and trucks mandatory as a measure to reduce the number of road accidents. With the air-conditioning, drivers "who work for several hours non-stop can get some relief and drive with more alertness", he added.
