AC prices to rise up to 15% ahead of summer as input costs jump

Air conditioner makers are increasing prices in the range of 5% to 15% ahead of the peak summer season. Major brands, including Daikin, Voltas, Blue Star, LG, Haier and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, announced price increases across several models. The consumers will be passed on higher input costs for key raw materials, new energy-efficiency norms and an increase in freight costs.
