BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari called Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital a "chilling symbol of systemic collapse" after a man died after being stuck in the hospital's elevator. "Accountability? Nowhere...It's TMC who has nurtured and protected the culture of apathy," he added. Bhandari recalled the 2024 rape and murder of a trainee doctor at the same government hospital.
