Accused arrested for beating stray dog to death in Delhi

An animal welfare organisation filed an FIR with Delhi’s Patel Nagar Police over the beating death of a community dog on May 6. The case was registered under Section 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. The accused has since been arrested.
