Accused can be convicted of murder even if victim's body is never recovered: SC

The Supreme Court said an accused can be convicted of murder even if victim's body is never recovered. It stated law requires proof that a crime was committed, not production of corpse. The court said this while upholding life sentence of a man convicted of killing a girl whose body was allegedly thrown into river and could never be traced.
