Active COVID-19 cases in India drop to 4.84L; 44,878 new cases reported

The total number of active COVID-19 cases currently stands at 4,84,547 after a decrease of 4,747 in the last 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. India reported 44,878 new COVID-19 cases, taking the country's total tally so far to 87,28,795. With 547 new deaths, the total casualties due to COVID-19 reached 1,28,668.
