Activists demand inclusion of Kannada in Karnataka banks

Activists across Karnataka have slammed nationalised banks for promoting Hindi and ignoring Kannada, the regional language. Many have claimed that those who speak only Kannada are at a disadvantage and cannot receive basic banking instructions in their language. Notably, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has mandated the inclusion of regional languages for all printed material.
