Actor Leslie Phillips, who voiced Sorting Hat in Harry Potter films, passes away aged 98

British actor Leslie Phillips, known for his roles in the 'Carry On' comedies and voicing the Sorting Hat in Harry Potter movies, has passed away aged 98. Phillips' agent Jonathan Lloyd confirmed the star died peacefully in his sleep on Monday. The comic actor starred in more than 200 films, and TV and radio series over his eight-decade career.
