Actor-MLA Mukesh arrested in rape case, released on bail after medical check-up

A special investigation team (SIT) probing the #MeToo complaints against Mollywood personalities on Tuesday arrested Malayalam actor M Mukesh in connection with sexual assault allegations against him. However, the CPM MLA was later released on bail as he secured an anticipatory bail from an Ernakulam court. Mukesh was booked on August 29 for allegedly raping an actress.
