Actor Prakash Raj to contest 2019 polls from Bengaluru

Actor Prakash Raj on Saturday confirmed he would be contesting in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Karnataka's Bengaluru Central constituency, as an independent candidate. "Thank you for the warm [and] encouraging response to my new journey," Prakash wrote in a tweet. The actor had announced his entry into electoral politics on January 1.
