On the eve of India’s Republic Day, the Ministry of Home Affairs announced the Padma Awards for 2026. Actor R Madhavan has been honoured with the Padma Shri for his distinguished service in the field of art. Actor Satish Shah has been conferred the Padma Shri posthumously, recognising his lifetime contribution to Indian cinema and theatre.
