Actor Shiva Rajkumar apologises for 'Hindi is national language' remark

Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar stirred controversy after he recently described Hindi as the national language. "I called Hindi the national language. It is one of the languages. Our language [Kannada] is always important to us...I apologise," he stated. Earlier, Rajkumar had said, "Hindi is my second language....It is...the national language. How would we not know it?"
