Actor Uttam Kumar's statue unveiled by WB CM Suvendu draws criticism

A statue of Uttam Kumar unveiled by West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari is being criticised for not resembling the late actor. An artist said that unrealistic deadlines, political pressure, family interference and the absence of expert guidance have the impacted quality of art. Earlier, a statue of Lionel Messi, which was installed by ex-CM Mamata Banerjee's government, drew similar criticism.
