ADA boosts UAV safety with detect and avoid tech for Tapas, Archer

India's Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) is equipping Tapas and Archer-NG UAVs with advanced 'detect and avoid' systems (DAAS). Using multiple sensors like TCAS, ADS-B, and radar, the system autonomously detects and avoids aerial vehicles and obstacles. This enhances operational safety, enabling 'Beyond Visual Line of Sight' missions in complex airspace and reducing collision risks.
