Adani deal involving bribe passed against officials' advice: Report

Andhra Pradesh government approved the solar deal, for which Adani Group executives allegedly paid bribes totalling $228 million, against officials' advice, Reuters reported. Few officials publicly said the deal would strain government coffers and procure electricity that the state doesn't need. Experts added the 57 days Andhra Pradesh energy regulator took for deal's approval was unusually fast.
