Adani Group could own airline as govt mulls relaxing ownership rules for airport operators

Government is considering relaxing a rule that restricts operators of Delhi and Mumbai airports from owning more than 10% of an airline, Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu said. This could allow Adani Group, which operates Mumbai, and GMR Airports, which manages New Delhi, to own carriers, Bloomberg reported. This comes amid government's attempts to encourage more airlines and competition.
