Adani Group in talks to buy Jaiprakash's cement unit for ₹5,000 crore: Report

Adani Group is in advanced talks to buy debt-laden Jaiprakash Power Ventures' cement unit and other smaller assets for about ₹5,000 crore, Bloomberg reported. Notably, the Gautam Adani-led conglomerate recently bought Ambuja Cements and ACC from Switzerland's Holcim, becoming India's second-largest cement maker. The acquisition of Jaiprakash's cement unit will be made either by Ambuja or ACC.
