Assam CM lays foundation stone for 3200 MW thermal power plant

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma laid the foundation stone of a 3200 MW thermal power plant at Chapar, Dhubri, to be built by Adani Power for ₹48,000 crore. Part of a ₹63,000 crore Adani Group power investment in Assam, the project will create 20,000 construction jobs and 5,000 permanent roles, with commissioning from December 2030.
