Adidas' ex-owner Bernard Tapie dies at 78 after battle with cancer

Adidas' former owner Bernard Tapie has died aged 78 after battling against stomach cancer for several years. Tapie was also President of Olympique de Marseille from 1986 to 1994 and led the club to Champions League title in 1993. "Bernard Tapie lived to the end with his passion intact...and a great empathy for people," former French President Nicolas Sarkozy tweeted.
