Indian Railways has extended the advance reservation period for booking reserved tickets from 60 days to 120 days, with effect from April 1. However, there will be no change in the 360-days limit of foreign tourists. Railways is also planning an 'operation 5 minutes' scheme, under which ticket-less passengers can get regular tickets within five minutes of entering station.
