Advanced limb salvage restores mobility and avoids amputation

CARE Hospitals, Banjara Hills, successfully salvaged four severely injured limbs at risk of amputation using the specialised Ilizarov reconstruction technique. Patients with complex trauma, chronic infections, and bone loss regained mobility and independence. These cases highlight that advanced limb salvage can restore function, dignity, and livelihood, proving amputation need not be the default.
