'Advocate Appearance Portal' to be launched next year: CJI

Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud on Friday said from the beginning of the next year advocates will not have to file 'appearance slips' manually, instead they can log onto the 'Advocate Appearance Portal' to mark their presence during a hearing. "We are streamlining the process...exactly what is uploaded by the lawyers, we will get it," the CJI said.
