Afghanistan achieve their highest-ever ODI ranking

Afghanistan have climbed to sixth in the ICC Men's ODI team rankings, their highest-ever position, after overtaking Sri Lanka. Afghanistan now rank above former ODI World Cup winners Sri Lanka, England and West Indies, having made their ODI debut in 2009. Their rise follows a 4-0 away series victory over Ireland and an unbeaten tri-series against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh.
