African Swine Fever detected at Manipur farm; owner claims 80 pigs culled

African Swine Fever outbreak was confirmed at a piggery in Manipur's Kamjong on Thursday, following which Deputy Commissioner declared the 1 km radius around the farm as an "infected zone". The piggery's owner claimed that 80 pigs have been culled in the last few days. The Deputy Commissioner also declared the 10 km radius around the farm a "surveillance zone".
