AFSPA reimposed in Manipur's 6 police station areas till Mar 2025

Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has reimposed Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in Manipur's six police station areas across five districts with immediate effect till March 31, 2025. The police station areas where AFSPA has been reimposed are Sekmai, Lamsang, Lamlai, Jiribam, Leimakhong, and Moirang, according to MHA order. The state has been witnessing violence since last year.
