After $81 trillion near miss, Citi almost transfers $6 billion in copy-paste error

Citigroup almost credited about $6 billion to a customer's account in its wealth-management business by accident, Bloomberg reported. The near-error occurred after an employee handling the transfer copied and pasted the account number into a field for the dollar figure. Recently, FT reported Citigroup accidentally credited a client's account with $81 trillion instead of $280 in a "near miss".
