After 100 years, Makar Sankranti to get a new date: Reports

Makar Sankranti, which has been celebrated on January 14 for last 100 years, will reportedly be celebrated on a new date from 2019, except in 2021. Makar Sankranti, which marks the end of Hindu calendar's inauspicious month 'Malmaas', will fall on either January 15 or 16. The calendar is decided by the planetary configuration of Sun, Pandit Diwakar Tripathi said.
