After Ajit Pawar's death, DGCA makes new rules for flights carrying VIPs
Months after Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar died in a crash, DGCA issued new guidelines for aircraft carrying VIPs. The rules mandate twin-engine aircraft with at least two crew. The pilot-in-command must have at least 3,000 hours of flying on a fixed-wing aircraft and 2,000 on a helicopter. Any last-minute changes from the VIP cannot be communicated directly to crew.
