After criticising 'Johny Johny,' UP minister claims 'Rain, Rain Go Away' promotes selfishness

UP minister Yogendra Upadhyaya has claimed that English poems like 'Johnny Johnny, Yes Papa' and 'Rain, Rain Go Away' teach children dishonesty and promote selfishness. "Because little Johny wants to play, the rain should go away...This is 'Swantah Sukhay' (self pleasure)...it is not our culture, which is about 'Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya (welfare and happiness of all),'" he said.
